- Take videos (phone, ipod, digital camera, mp3 player) make sure your phone is horizontal
- you need to connect your device [any electronic you use] to the computer with a usb cable
- find your files using the Windows Explorer
(open device to view files.)
- confirm that your phone can connect to the computer, sometimes you have to say allow on your phone
- find the videos from your phone (check media, videos, or DCIM to find the files.)
- Highlight the files and copy them
- Create a new folder called videos on the desktop.
- paste the files into the new videos folder you created
- DO NOT DELETE THE VIDEOS while you are working on the project!!!
- open Windows Live Movie Maker
- click on Add Videos and Photos
- Edit the clips
- set start point (cuts beginning of clip)
- set end point (cuts the end of the clip)
- split (makes 2 clips from one clip)
- Add a title (choose background color, and title as well as duration [how long])
- Add credits (choose background color, and text as well as duration [how long])
- Add a song (use beat, instrumental, karaoke)
- Edit the song if necessary -
- Fade in (music begins soft and gets stronger)
- Fade out (music becomes softer until it’s silent)

Video Editing Steps - and Vocabulary

We have practiced editing videos and learning vocabulary together. Now, it is your turn to make a video!
I have shared raw video clips and pictures with you as well as some songs. Use them to make a promotional video of the Furness High School ESOL department. Why should new ESOL students choose Furness?
